Nine minutes ago I was at 35 feet with a decompression (deco) time of 12 minutes. At shallow depths that excess nitrogen bleeds off and the computer estimates less and less deco time until you're safe to surface again. My hope to bleed some of that time off has not come to pass as I still have 12 minutes of deco time to do, and the dive is now 43 minutes old. I have plenty of air at 1108 psi, but with an estimated 15 minutes (minimum) of ascent time required, I need to be careful with it.
