Colorado Trip 2016 - page 4
This year I went alone to Colorado on the BMW motorcycle. The reason was to attend my niece's graduation from the University of Denver, but really I wanted to ride the bike in the mountains. And in the cool weather. (45F at the top of Independence Pass, while Phoenix was 117F). I went up via Cortez and Lizard Head Pass to Aspen. In Aspen I blew a rear tire, which is why you see the bike in a truck. Friends David and Elizabeth rescued me and took me to get new tires in Denver. After that I staryed with family at Copper Mountain and attended the graduation. Finally I went over Independence Pass (on two wheels), then on to Colorado National Mountain, before heading through Unaweep Canyon to Dove Creek and Cortez.
